About the PNLab

The PNLab Celebrates this Summer!

There has been much to celebrate at the PNLab this summer. The celebrations began with the announcement of Dr. Bertone’s promotion from the rank of assistant to associate professor with tenure in the department of Applied/Child School Psychology. This recognition comes as no surprise, as Dr. Bertone has excelled in both his teaching and research since he started at McGill in the fall of 2011. He continues to have demonstrable impact within the fields of cognitive and perceptual science as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Please join us in congratulating him on this achievement!

This summer also marked two especially proud moments in the PNLab. First, Audrey Perreault defended her PhD thesis on mid-level, visual perception in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in May. Her defence went exceptionally well and her performance was lauded by all committee members. The newly minted Dr. Perreault is moving forward honing her clinical expertise as a staff neuropsychologist.

Second, Jacalyn defended her PhD thesis on local and global visual perception in ASD in June. Her thesis was extremely well-received and praised for its depth. She will begin a postdoctoral position at the University of Oxford later this year.

We wish them all the best of luck in their new positions!

We are the PNLab, a laboratory interested in understanding perception and cognition in Autism Spectrum Disorder and typical development.
