PNLab attends the CERNEC meeting

This March, members of the PNLab travelled to Saint-Sauveur, Quebec, to attend the 24th annual conference hosted by the University of Montreal Neuropsychology and Cognition Research Center (CERNEC).

Among those attending was PNLab member Audrey Perreault, who received the 2015-2016 CERNEC student excellence award, congratulations Audrey on your achievement!

Fellow PNLab member Domenico Tullo presented his current doctoral research in a 10-minute talk. Domenico’s research is investigating attention training through multiple object tracking (MOT) in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. In his presentation, he discussed his findings to date demonstrating that MOT is an effective method for training attention in these individuals, and that the benefits seem to be enduring.

New PNLab member Emma Clark also shared her current research findings in a poster presentation. Emma presented her study looking at the relationship between attention skills, perceptual reasoning, and math ability in young students with a neurodevelopmental disability.

We are the PNLab, a laboratory interested in understanding perception and cognition in Autism Spectrum Disorder and typical development.
