PNLab and ESDC Make Headlines

The PNLab has started an exciting collaboration with École Secondaire Samuel de Champlain (ESDC) in Québec City. The project leader, Domenico Tullo, has been working with school psychologist, Mme. Carole Inkel, to improve students' attention in the classroom.

A 3D multiple object-tracking (3D-MOT) paradigm is being used to train attention over 6 months. The goal is to examine how the training of attention will transfer to other cognitive tasks, such as tasks of inhibition, working memory, and sustained attention, and to language-based learning.

The study was featured on the front-page of the Beauport Express (March 5th, 2015). To view the full article, please click on the link below.

Dr. Armando Bertone was also featured in a television segment of TVA's L'esprit sportif. The segment followed a grade 7 gym class that trained on the 3D-MOT task for two months. Dr. Betrone highlighted the benefits 3D-MOT training on athletic performance. ESDC teachers, Charles Gosselin and Samuel Georget, further discussed the benefits of training on the students' awareness on the soccer field.
